Boot Camp Day 2 : Analysis

I started with “Fit Pump” at 8:30 am today.

And it kicked my ass. Literally. It was an all-over body work out, but I feel it most in my legs, obliques, & tush! I actually busted a sweat.

It was the weirdest feeling. No matter how hard I work, my body has not been able to sweat. The doctor told me this was related to my heart. It pumps somewhat in-effectively at times.

I really feel that all the cardio work I’ve been putting in has had an effect on lowering my heart rate [not by much]. Seriously you’d have no idea I was in shape if I told you about my heart rate.

But I sweat. I sweat a lot. I have serious trouble holding planks for too long, and I’m getting much better at push-ups.

It was basically an all over calisthenics work out that was super intense, instructed by a tiny little woman who is muscle-on-bone, and who gives the best, most effective workouts.

Good news! She is the instructor for my spin class at 9:30!

So for another hour, I let this little mother-of-three torture my body. I’ve never had sore obliques before. But I dominated this spin class, even though I struggled in her earlier class at times.

I felt a deep burn in my inner thighs, obliques, and tush. It was amazing. I almost felt like I was actually sweating the pound-age off my body.

So even though these boot camp-esque, multi workout days are kicking my tush, I know they’re going to be the best thing for me. Especially while I have the time to do them!
