Stats. Goals. Frustration.

Height: 5’4”

Current Weight: 129.8 lbs

Starting Weight: 130 lbs

Goal Weight: 110-115 lbs

I’ve been watching my calorie intake for the past two weeks [since March 1st] & going to the gym/exercising each day. I downloaded the LoseIt! application to my iPhone 4 in order to help track my progress.

My calorie budget is approximately 930 calories per day. However, I try to consume 1,200-1,400 calories per day. This means I exercise enough to burn the difference in the calories. Usually I burn between 300-1000 calories a day, depending on the type of exercise [Zumba burns a whole lot].

I eat breakfast, lunch, & dinner, with healthy snacks strewn in between. I use to be addicted to Coca-Cola. I have given that up due to the fact that it’s empty calories & I’d rather have something that fills me up. I

I bought a scale in order to help me keep track of my progress. I weigh myself each morning. As of yesterday I was down 1.6 pounds. I weighed 128.4 pounds. However, as of this morning, I weighed 129.8 pounds. I don’t know how this happened.

I had a 1,312 calorie deficit [while still managing to eat a proper amount of calories per day], and I burned over 3,000 calories this week exercising. If my weight was going to change, it shouldn’t have gone back up! Now I’m .2 pounds away from my starting weight.

I know that the beginning is always the hardest. And I’m not trying to lose a ton of weight. I know my body is going to fight to stay the same. But I really did think that in 2 weeks I would see some progress.

Chris, my boyfriend, has been ungodly supportive of my goals. He is proud & impressed with my self control & discipline. I’ve even managed to make him more active. He’s decided that maybe it would be better to take measurements & see if I’m losing inches as opposed to weight. He believes that my body, because I’m not completely out of shape, is more apt to gain muscle which weighs more.

I’m also hoping that things change because my period seems to be messing things up. I started this whole thing while I was PMSing, & then my period came & it’s not very regular. It seems to get super light & disappearing altogether. So maybe that’s a strange variable.

Gah. Well I’m sticking with it. So let’s hope I can find some motivation even though my scale is constantly working against me!

I’m trying to keep this in mind. My body is fighting me every step of the way.

under400:

Simple Baked Apple
1 apple (red or green does not matter)
cinnamon (to taste)
two spoonfulls of Splenda or two packets
Optional: butter flavored popcorn topping
One of my usual breakfasts. Cut the apple into thick slices and arrange in a microwavable bowl. Sprinkle with Splenda and desired amount of cinnamon. Microwave for one minute to a minute and twenty seconds. When it comes out sprinkle with butter powder. Enjoy!
Serves one, for about 70 Calories, depending on the size of your apple

I don’t support Splenda products because of how bad they are for you. I prefer Stevia or Truvia. Both are 0 cal sweeteners.
